I am sitting on my sofa underneath this quilt as I type this post. It is my very first quilt that I made in early 2015. I took the FREE Craftsy 2012 Block of the Month Class taught by Amy Gibson (Craftsy affiliate link*). I learned so much about piecing a quilt and the many different techniques that can be used in a quilt block.
After piecing the blocks with Amy Gibson’s class, I took Leah Day’s Free Motion Quilting a Sampler (Craftsy affiliate link*). This was my first free motion quilting that I ever tried. I really loved it.
I chose to do this quilt as a quilt as you go following Leah’s instructions in the Craftsy class. It worked beautifully as you can see from the back of the finished quilt. You can clearly see the binding strips between the blocks. Leah’s instructions were spot on.
I hadn’t done much sewing in the few years prior to making this. But with the Craftsy classes I was able to complete this warm, soft, and beautiful quilt. I love Craftsy! Check out my Craftsy project page.
Until Next Time!
