I love to paper piece! This was a bit challenging since the pieces are so small, but it turned out well (not perfect, but close enough for me).
I took Jackie Kunkel’s Paper Piecing the Quiltworx Dresden Plate. Jackie is a great teacher and this particular class teaches you how to paper piece using the Quiltworx method. It’s a really great class. Below is the quilt I made for my new great niece from the Craftsy class.
On the Family Affair block of the Splendid Sampler, the seams and bulk did make it a bit challenging to quilt. I kept it fairly simple by using chain of pearls in the X and then just stitching in the ditch on the rest of the block. I finished it by using the same border pattern as the rest of the blocks.
Until Next Time!
