Block 37 – Dashing by Chocolate

Piecing this block was fun! Get the pattern for this on at The Splendid Sampler. I decided on a more complicated quilting design for the center of this one, and I like the results.

Here’s how I quilted it:

  • Using the open toe free motion foot, stitched spinning daisy in the center block.
  • Stitched in the ditch around the triangles and rectangles.
  • Stitched straight line echoes in the solid turquoise triangles.
  • Stitch the border design like the other blocks.

The quilting is difficult to see on the blue background.
