Yet another applique. Get the pattern at The Splendid Sampler. I chose not to cut the individual pieces. I cut out the complete design leaving the pieces connected. I used raw edge applique using Lite Steam-A-Seam 2. I printed the pattern on the fusible web using a copy machine. I fused the pattern to the fabric and then cut it out in one piece. It worked well and seemed easier than trying to place each of the small pieces.
For the quilting I satin stitched around the applique. The border design was completed like the other blocks.
Here’s the back. It is a light color with light tread, but you can still clearly see the quilting.
