The Splendid Sampler project really helps to hone your piecing skills. This particular block uses very small pieces so you have to be precise. I am not sure I would do a whole quilt of this particular block, but I do love how it turned out.
Here’s how I quilted it using my ruler presser foot:
- Stitched in the ditch around the center square, the cross, and the triangles.
- Echo stitched inside of the orange triangles two times using the ruler foot as the measuring device.
- Stitched chain of pearls in the yellow rectangles.
- Stitch the border design like the other blocks.
Until Next Time!
