This block is a fancy churn dash. You can get the pattern for the pieced block over at the Splendid Sampler or you can preorder the book. Just a reminder that the patterns will only be available for free for two weeks after the Sampler finishes.
Here’s how I quilted it using the open toe free motion foot on my Juki F600:
- Starting in the center stitched a wiggly spiral. (The idea came from Leah Day’s Drunk Spiral design.)
- Stitch the border design like the other blocks.
I really love the wiggly spiral! Fun and easy to quilt. It really looks pretty on the back of the block.
